1956 meter mail envelope from Melbourne to Apia, Samoa. On the 13th June, whilst carrying oil, general cargo and mail between Fiji and Western Samoa, the S.S. Vasu blew up and sank off the Tonga Islands. A very small amount of mail in damaged condition was salvaged and sent to Western Samoa where violet 'SOILED MAIL EX "VASU"' applied by the Post Office.

1933 German 15pf stationery postcard with no message as usual. Cancelled by the violet "LUFTPOST D WESTFALEN" c.d.s. '2 JUN 1933' With violet boxed Catapult mail cachet on the front. "BATHURST" cancellation on the front of the same date. Together with six photographs.
