1940 censored Prisoner of War lettersheet from a Cypriot in an Italian Prisoner of War Camp addressed to The Governor of Cyprus Famagusta. Egyptian and Cypriot censor markings. The letter refers to his time as a Driver in Libya being taken as a POW and now in Italy, asking for information on his family.

1917 envelope with letter written by Sarah Rogers. Addressed to the U.K. Type 1 cachet in violet. Carried on the Norwegian whaler Trio which visited the island on 15th December. The mail was offloaded at the first port of call Freemantle Western Australia on 9th January 1918. Forwarded to Melbourne then carried on the S.S. Calulu (Australian Commonwealth line) On arrival in Liverpool treated as mail originating in Australia. By 1917 the Type 1 cachet had become worn.

On 18th May the European Mail train arrived at Kruidfontein Station where a mail truck was found to be on fire. The contents of the truck were returned to Cape Town 'CAPE TOWN" cancellation applied '3 JUN 25'
