1930 envelope addressed to Cardiff (Stamp washed off) Cancelled 'AUCKLAND' machine d/s 'AU 9 30' Carried on the S.S. "Tahiti" which sunk off the Cook Islands en-route to San Francisco on 18th August. Two line 'DAMAGED / BY SEA WATER' struck in black and manuscript "Through Sinking S.S. Tahiti 1930' This appearsto be an unrecorded cachet for "Tahiti" mails.
1916 On Active Service postcard (Town Hall and West Streeet Durban) addressed to Palmeston North with crown in Centre 'PASSED BY CENSOR No 6, N.Z.' which was allocated to Troopship Devon. It carried the 17th reinforcements which left New Zealand on 25th September. 'WELLINGTON N.Z. PAID' receiving cancellation '11 DE 16'
1915 postcard addressed to New Zealand from a soldier on Troopship 31 en-route to the Middle East, written during a stop at Colombo Ceylon franked 6c adhresive tied 'COLOMBO' machine d/s '4 NOV 15' Troopship 31 was the S.S. "Tahiti" The voyage left New Zealand on 18th October, and reached the Middle East on 17th November.
