Resealing tape on the reverse applied in London, together with receiving cancellation. The Dutch steamer 'S.S. "Alhena"' ran aground on Pladdy Rock, South Bay, County Down, Ireland on 28th January en-route to Haifa.
1950 1 1/2d Air letter carried on the First Flight Drakensberg Air service from Ladysmith to Mokhotlong Basutoland. Cancelled 'LADYSMITH NATAL' c.d.s. '2 V1 50' On the reverse 'Drakensberg Air Services (PTY) Ltd' cachet in black signed by the pilot.
1961 airmail envelope from Montreal to London that has a bi-lingual 'DAMAGED and delayed / by fire' cachet struck in black, together with a U.K. label saying the envelope has been damaged. At this time the organization campaigning for Quebec independence was conducting a bombing campaign and setting fire to post boxes, following the arrest of two senior members of the organization.

1943 Censored airmail envelope from Kenya addressed to Kent. Triangular 'PASSED / BY / NAVAL / CENSOR' struck in red initialed. Large 'SALVAGED MAIL / FROM/ ........' struck in violet. Carried on B.O.A.C. Lockheed Electra which crashed at Almaza Airfield Egypt on 21st November 1943 ' On the reverse 'BASE ARMY POST OFFICE 4' c.d.s. '21 NO 43'
1967 airmail envelope addressed to Devon franked 10c Perak adhesive tied 'IPOH' machine d/s '17 OCT 1967' Boxed 'DAMAGED BY / SEA WATER / I.S/' struck in green applied in London. There is some water damage, probably caused by water leaking into the bag in the ships hold, or the bag falling into the water when being offloaded from the ship.

KGV 30c registered stationery envelope (G) overprinted 'SPECIMEN' additionally handstamped 'Especimen' in blue by the Portuguese Postal authorities for distribution to the Colonies. The flap is not stuck down, there are a few small tone spots.
1941 internal censored envelope addressed to Port Sudan franked 15m adhesive tied 'F.P.O. NO 13' hatched circle c.d.s. '16 JAN 41' allocated to Gelbeit. Large double boxed 'PASSED/ BY / UNIT/ CENSOR/ 215' struck in violet allocated to the Royal Sussex Regiment, which was attached to the 7th Brigade 4th Indian Division. A rare censor.

1896 registered envelope addressed to Scotland franked 1/2d & 6d adhesives (2 1/2d + 4d registration) tied 'G.P.O. SUVA' c.d.s. '17 DEc 96' A new route via Vancouver was opened on 22nd October 1896 at a rate of 2 1/2d London Registered transit and receiving cancellation.
1918 stampless 'On Active Postcard' addressed to Glasgow cancelled by the rare 'F.P.O. 100' c.d.s. '4 JUL 18' used on Kamaran, together with the 'PASSED CENSOR * KAMARAN/ No A 6' censor cachet struck in violet. Unusually both cancellation and censor struck on the front.
