The mail was picked up by Cable & Wireless staff on the saling boat "Daphne"

1915 censored envelope addressed to a Sapper in the 1st Field Coy, Northumberland Royal Engineers. B.E.F. redirected to Salonica, then to the Hospital Ship. A fine strike of the oval 'No 1 NEW ZEALAND STATIONARY HOSPITAL' struck in red with the additional 'NOT AT' On the reverse two line 'PRESANT LOCATION / UNCERTAIN' cachet in black. Both cachets applied in Salonica where the hospital ship was based.
