1954 envelope from Coventry with label inscribed "This item was amongst mail/salvaged from B.O.A.C. Comet/Galyy which came down in the/sea north of Stromboli on/8th April 1954" cancelled 'SUDAN AIR MAIL KHARTOUM" c.d.s. '29 IV 54' A further strike on the reverse. On 8th April the Comet G-ALYY left Rome for Cairo. It came down north of Stromboli. Later two bags of mail came to the surface, containing mail for Sudan. One was processed in Khartoum, the other in Rome.

1945 30c registered stationery insured envelope (H) addressed to North Wales. Franked single 2/- 1/- and two x 3/- On the reverse 20c adhesive tied 'BUKOBA' c.d.s. '12 NO 45' The packet is insured for 480 Shillings. Black/Red insured label.

1901 registered envelope addressed to London, redirected to Northampton. Franked 4d & 7 1/2d adhesives tied 'NUKUALOFA' c.d.s. 'DE 3 01' Routed via San Francisco & New York where the Registered/Exchange' label applied. In London 'V crown R Found Open and Officially SEALED' label applied. Manuscript 'POSTED OUT OF COURSE' Full of character.

1930 envelope stationery Nukualofa Club addressed to London. Franked 2d adhesive. Carried by ship to Apia Samoa where the adhesive cancelled by the "dumb" cachet, used by the post office for transfer ship mail. 'APIA' c.d.s. alongside '11 DE 30' A scarce usage.

1924 registered envelope addressed to Sydney. Franked horizontal pair 'TWO PENCE' on '5d' and a single 'TWO PENCE' on '1/-' tied 'NUKUALOFA' c.d.s. '5 JY 24' Oval registration cachet. Receiving cancellation on the reverse.

1895 registered envelope addressed to Germany. Franked two 'FIVE PENCE' on '4d' Orange adhesives tied 'NUKUALOFA' c.d.s. '20 MY 95' Light oval registration cachet numbered '712' Receiving cancellation on the reverse.

1915 1d stationery postcard with message from German sailor, Karl Kohler (ex. S/S Chow Tai) interned in German Concentration Camp, Liverpool. N.S.W. The "S/S. Chow Tai" was captured in Singapore on 8th August 1918 and the crew was later transfered to Liverpool internment camp in Australia.
