1927 envelope addressed to Birmingham franked 1d adhesive tied 'SOUTH SHETLANDS' c.d.s. '13 FE 27' a further strike alongside.Carried on Professor Gruvel (ex Bombay) left South Shetlands arriving South Georgia 8th March. She left for Rio de Janeiro on 16th March. She sank 12th October 1927 some seven months later 600 miles south of the Falkland Islands, after hitting an iceberg., Some toning at far right.
