1940 envelope from addressed to Market Harborough cancelled 'TORONTO' machine d/s 'MAY 28 1940' The stamp washed off. Carried on the "S.S. Eros" which was torpedoed by a German Submarine U-48 of the Nrorth West Coast of Ireland on June 7th. Straight line 'SALVED FROM THE SEA' applied in violet.
