1924 envelope addressed to London franked single 2c and a vertical pair 1c adhesives tied 'COLOMBO/SUPPORT THE/BRITISH EMPIRE/EXHIBITION' slogan d/s '30 APR 24' struck in black. Overstamped by 'SUPPORT THE/BRITISH EMPIRE' slogan cachet in purple. Apparently this purple handstamp was used on mail where the slogan was unclear.
