The cover originated in Akyab Burma with a cancellation dated 'NO 1 62' 'CALCUTTA INDIA PAID' cancellation 'NO 7 62' Carried on the Colombo which was wrecked on Minicoy Island the most southern of the Laccadives a group of islands in the Indian Ocean 400 miles off the Southern tip of India. "Saved From the wreck of / the Colombo" boxed cachet in black on the reverse. Believed the only cover from the wreck of the Colombo that originated in Burma.
